Where the demo is available

Steam has a dedicated Duskfade Demo app. PlayStation announced its PS5 demo separately. We do not list an Xbox or Switch 2 demo because no first-party listing was verified.

Playable slice

What the current demo includes

Developer announcements describe an expanded Tick Town slice with additional NPCs and lore, four difficulty options, improved performance and a look across four biomes. That makes it useful for evaluating both traversal and combat rather than treating it as a short technical teaser.

Important boundary

Does progress transfer?

No—Weird Beluga's Steam announcement says progress from the demo does not carry over. Expect to restart the opening in the full game. We do not extend that statement to every platform unless its official page confirms the same behavior.

Before checkout

Three things to test

1. Camera comfort during tight jumps and quick direction changes.
2. The timing of dodge rolls and whether the combat difficulty feels right.
3. How thoroughly you enjoy searching Tick Town for side paths and collectibles.
